“The Nun” is the latest spinoff in the horror franchise “The Conjuring”. Directed by Corin Hardy (“The Hallow”), the film focuses on a character introduced in “The Conjuring 2”, the demonic nun Valak (Bonnie Aarons). Set in 1952 in a Romanian monastery, the plot follows a young novitiate (Taissa Farmiga) and a priest (Demian Bichir) with a haunted past, who are sent by the Vatican to investigate a series of mysterious deaths at the abbey. Charlotte Hope, Ingrid Bisu, Jona Bloquet and Michael Smiley co-star.
